The Dutch coast is experiencing an exceptional summer's day today with temperatures climbing far above the seasonal average. Where we'd normally expect around 19 degrees, the mercury is now rising to tropical values.
Temperature and sun
South Holland takes the crown with an average of 32 degrees, with some beaches even expecting peaks of 38 degrees. Zeeland (31°) and North Holland (30°) will also be quite warm. The Wadden Islands remain coolest at 26 degrees, but even there it's pleasant beach weather. The sun is shining brightly at all beaches, with a UV index of 7. Apply sunscreen generously and seek shade regularly, because with this sun intensity you can easily get burnt.
