Blue Flag beaches in the Netherlands
The Blue Flag is an international eco-label from the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) for beaches and marinas. A beach is only awarded the flag if it meets requirements for bathing water quality, safety, facilities and environmental management.
In 2026, 46 Dutch coastal beaches fly the Blue Flag, spread across 34 seaside resorts in this guide. The list is set anew each year: a beach can lose the flag if its bathing water quality declines, and regain it later.
