Beach weather Egmond, Saturday 3rd October

This weekend the Egmond coast will be fresh with typical autumn weather. The North Sea is still relatively mild at 19 degrees swimming water, cool, but perfectly manageable for seasoned swimmers. Do wear a wetsuit or expect a short dip.

The sun shows itself sparingly in October, so expect cloudy periods with the occasional shower. Take a windproof jacket just in case; the wind from the sea can feel raw. Beach walks are still perfectly doable, and particularly lovely and quiet on the beach at this time of year.

Expect a lower air temperature, probably around 12-15 degrees. Ideal for a bracing beach walk, less suitable for extended sunbathing.
