Rockanje is experiencing an exceptional heatwave this week with plenty of sunshine and tropical temperatures. Tuesday will already reach 31 degrees, followed by Wednesday with extreme highs of 36 degrees. Thursday through to Saturday will be scorching: 34 to 37 degrees under clear blue skies. Fortunately, the easterly wind remains light (force 3), so you can find relief on the beach without your belongings blowing away.

The North Sea is perfect for cooling off during this heat at 20 degrees. The weekend offers ideal beach days, though with 35 degrees on Saturday it will be truly tropical. The UV index sits at 7 all week: apply sunscreen generously and seek shade regularly.

Sunday becomes slightly less hot (30 degrees), Monday cools further to 22 degrees with increasing wind. The beach will be exceptionally busy, particularly this weekend and early in the week. Arrive early to secure a good spot.
